COFFEE ADDICT OR COFFEE LOVER????

I love coffee….

It awakened my senses especially during morning and late afternoon...

It my energy booster…my power pack…it makes my day

Morning will not be complete without coffee... though may be 3in1, instant, brewed or decaf name it…it goes back to one name COFFEE….

Friends often teased me of being a coffee addict.. but what I don't understand is that I only consumed maximum of 2 mugs (take note: MUG) of coffee each day, and they calling me coffee addict….I really don’t understand….hihihihi

I may be a coffee lover but I don’t think I'm a coffee addict….There's a difference between the two (hmmmm… need to justify?)

But whatever they call me ….still I love coffee….

Oppsss its time for my 2nd mug… so long….

Discouragement

DISCOURAGEMENT – according to MR. Webster it is: 1 : to deprive of courage or confidence : DISHEARTEN
2 a : to hinder by disfavoring b : to dissuade or attempt to dissuade from doing something .

As I'm reading my devotion this morning God spoke with me through this word…DISCOURAGEMENT

Do you find yourself discouraged with your life’s circumstances? Do your situations seem too hard to handle? Honestly yes I do...all of us do. We have our own discouragement. In some point or another we experienced to be discouraged. It maybe through some people who keeps on pinning us down, it maybe our circumstances or because our prayers are left unanswered until now. We sometimes decided not to go on with our life anymore, we feel defeated and we lose hope because of all the things that are happening right now.

We feel discourage, we feel down, we feel that God is too far to hear our prayers and to perform miracles in our life. We often hear people testifying how God answers their prayer in just a snap of their finger and yet we are wondering why are prayers are still kept as prayers for such a long time.

If we are discouraged because God is delaying too much in answering our prayers, or He is too busy to rescue us from our situation we are in right now, let us reminded that delay is NOT a denial. Isaiah 55:8 says that "My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts," says the LORD. "And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. (NLT). Just because the answers have not come – yet – is doesn’t mean God isn't going to answer us or he has forgotten us or worse He doesn’t care for us. It simply means "not yet".

Delay is just a test of our patience. And patience is one of the fruits of Holy Spirit. God may test our patience once, twice, thrice or over and over and over again. Why? Because He wants us to see suffer? No, because He just want to see how our patient we are. So He will know what is inside of us and know our level of commitment. God tests us so that we can know He is faithful, even if the answers we seek are delayed.

I remember the story of Abraham and Sarah's faithfulness to God and how they cling on to His promise that despite of being childless up to their old age they remain steadfast in God's promise that a nation will rise from them. And God fulfill His promise….

Let us turn around our discouragement by remembering God's faithfulness since the beginning of time. Let us ask Him to transformed our discouragement into patience. And us we wait for God's miracles let us focus our mind and heart in worshiping His holy name.

We may be going through difficult times right now and feel like dropping off the planet. We are discouraged because things seems unfair and unbearable and we are crying out to God because we cant take it anymore.

But we can…

We can stay with it longer because God is with us . He’ll enable us to press on. Remember, we are never a failure until you quit.

Don’t quit. Resist discouragement and finish the race God has set before us.

Let us hold fast the confession of our faith without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:23).

WHAT IS A FATHER?

Somebody wrote this material and I simply added a little side comments of my own.

What is a father?

A father is a person who is forced to endure childbirth without an anesthetic.
He growls when he feels good and laughs very loud when he is scared half-to-death. He needs to be a picture of strength even though he may be scared and sad from the inside.

A father never feels entirely worthy of the worship in a child's eyes. He is never quite the hero his daughter thinks. Never quite the man his son believes him to be. And this worries him sometimes. (So he works too hard to try to smooth the rough places in the road of those of his own who will follow him.)

A father is a person who goes to war sometimes...and would run the other way except that war is part of an important job in his life (which is making the world better for his child than it has been for him). Fathers grow older faster than other people, because they, in other wars, have to stand at the train station and wave goodbye to the uniform that climbs on board. And, while mothers cry where it shows, fathers stand and beam...outside...and die inside.

Fathers are men who give daughters away to other men who aren't nearly good enough, so that they can have children that are smarter than anybody's. We are two girls in the family, though my father would always teased us to get married now (our brother already married) since that will happened eventually, I'm sure he will be the first one to cry on our wedding day. How can he give away to a totally stranger creature the most precious gems he have protected, sheltered and loved all his life!.

Fathers fight dragons almost daily. They hurry away from the breakfast table off to the arena, which is sometimes called an office or a workshop. There they tackle the dragon with three heads: Weariness, Works, and Monotony. (and may I add another one - their lousy bosses.......) And they never quite win the fight, but they never give up. Knights in shining armor; fathers in shiny trousers. There's little difference as they march away each workday.

And when Father passes away, and after a good rest, I suspect he won't just sit on a cloud and wait for the girl he's loved and the children she bore. He'll be busy there too... excited and doing what needs to be done. Till he meets them all one day.

To all the fathers out there...... Happy father's Day! The best inheritance you can leave your children is a life well lived and an example worth emulating!

GOD'S CHAMPION

Children's Ministry Month is still in the air last night. Yosra shared her testimony to us, on how God is working to the life of this girl and to her family as well. I still remember when she and her sisters together with their cousins are just newcomer on our Friday School, they are so shy and timid, they are hesitate to join the discussions and don’t even want to lead in prayer but now we are really blessed and overjoyed for the activeness and enthusiasm they are having right now. They are indeed our outstanding students and we are sad yet happy for her that she will now transferring to youth ministry to take another milestone in her spiritual walk with our God

God's message was delivered to us by Sis. Pearl Joy Perales. Her spiritual gift shown last night. She had a gift of speaking. And we are looking forward to hear more from her soon.

Let me share with you excerpt and added insights of God's message last night. Hope you will be blessed same am I.

TOPIC: God's Champion
TEXT: 1 Corinthian 9:24-25

24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

1. Life is like a race, it has a challenging path
- like a race we have to go to strict training to prepare us for the upcoming competition, same with our life God allows us to go on strict training of life (problems/trial/worries) in order for us to be strong and be more mature with our relationship with Him.

2. Life is like a race, it has an umpire – Jesus Christ is our umpire, He is the author and finisher of our faith. He is our coach and our judge.

3. Life is like a race, it has a finish line – every athlete's aim is to finish the race, to reach the finish line and get the crown. As the saying goes "quitters never win and winner never quits". We Christian we should also aim for the finish line. Let us strive hard to get the crown of life that Jesus promised to us. "Be faithful, even to the point of death and I will give you the crown of life." Rev. 2:10.

PRINCIPLES IN WINNING A CHRISTIAN LIFE
1. Disciple – we should have self control
1 Tim. 4: 12 - Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
It is Apostle Paul reminder to Timothy. Don’t let our desires overtake our life. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4:7).

2. Run with right motivation
a. having a reward system – if you accomplished a certain task, give yourself a little treat.
b encouragement and motivational phrase.
Proverbs 16:24 - Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
c. turning hardship to opportunities
- hardship of loneliness ( give thanks to God and adapt spirit of joy)
- value friendship and fellowship with fellow believers
- open to opposition
Hebrews 12:1 - Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

OUR PRIZES:

1. Abundant life

John 10: 10 - The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

2. Crown of eternal life

Isaiah 35:10 - and the ransomed of the LORD will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them,
and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

1 Timothy 4:8 - For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

BE STILL

Life is still hard…

Recession is not yet over…

Many companies already shut down;

Others still have massive lay off…..

Some have salary cut off and few have to cut their expenses….

I was not exempted with this situation….

Some of my colleague already received termination letter…

We have to cut our expenses…even our salaries….

When I heard the news worries overcome me…..

I was saddened… I was troubled….I was shaken…..

But God is our God of constant reminders…

He may not directly speak to me but He used His words to remind me to be STILL…

"Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own"…(Matthew 6:34)

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus… (Phils. 4:6-7)

Those 2 verses helps me to overcome my worries…

Why should I worry? When God promised me that He will never leave me nor forsake me.. (Heb. 13:5)

Look at the birds of the air, they do not sow or reap or store away in barns and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?. Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I will tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will He not much more cloth you, O you of little faith?. So do not worry, saying "What shall we eat? Or "What shall we drink?" or "What shall we wear?". For the pagans runs after all these things, and your Heavenly Father KNOWS THAT YOU NEED THEM. (Matthew 6:26-32).

He knows our needs and desires and our longings long before we asked Him….

We need only to trust Him and surrender fully everything to Him…

Just obey and surely God will do the rest…..

God will never allow us to stay in this situation but instead He himself will make a way for us to overcome all of these….

Remember that our life here in earth is just temporal.. we are just travelers…Our citizenship is in heaven…

So why we have to worry for things that are happening right now when we know and believe that God is already prepare a mansion for us in His kingdom….

Let us not be worry…..Let's fix our eyes to Jesus.. the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2)…..

Heavenly Father
Thank you for your constant reminder
Thank you for reminding me that I'm your daughter
And You will supply all my needs according to Your riches and glory
You will be with me through the end of time

Thank you for your love, your peace and your embrace
Thank you for Your words that keeps reminding me
Thank you for using other people to show me Your greatness and power
Thank you for everything

Use my life to bless others
May your light so shine on me that they may see Your glory through me
May You use me as a channel of blessings for them
May you continue to manifest in my life

In Jesus name I pray AMEN

"BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD; I WILL EXALTED AMONG THE NATIONS, I WILL EXALTED IN THE EARTH". Psalms 46:10

fatherly love.....

As I am waiting here at Syrian Consulate to do some attestation work for my boss and after having a not very long conversation with Agnes, asking my where about and how surprised she was on how I can managed to go there by myself. I think I owe that all to my father who taught me on how to look for my way since I was small.

Reminiscing…..way back year 1980's when I was just a small kid, my father used to bring me with him anywhere he goes. I remember that when he was still working at a local bank, part of his job is to go to Manila to submit banks documents and reports at the Central Bank of the Phils. and to some other government agencies there during Monday and Thursday. He was the one who exposed me to this kind of environment and from there unnoticeably I will be able to used that experiences in the future.

I'm looking forward always to that days especially when the school is over. Even though I have to wake up at early as 4am so to reach Manila at 8am I didn’t care at all. Anyway I can sleep at the bus for almost 3 hours. After that we will go to mall to do some window shopping or if there is extra money I had the privileged to buy something I want. Then we will proceed to again for a 3 hours ride going home with a little pasalubong for my mother and brother. Though it was tiring and always felt nauseated because of the long journey and bus then doesn't have air condition unlike now, it was really fun and memorable. Not only because I can see and go to some places that kids on my age doesn’t have that opportunity like mine, meeting young and old people alike and hearing them saying" how cute your daughter is" but what most important is the training and experiences that I have then because I'm using them all now. Now I'm not afraid to go to places that are new to me. I'm not afraid to get lost because from there I learnt my way out and next time around I'm sure I'm heading the right way.

Thanks Dy for molding and training me to the way I'm right now. The memories that we had during that time still linger and cherish in my mind and heart. And every time I see father and daughter walking hand in hand together, I really miss those days and I can proudly say that I too have the same loving relationship with my father. I really missed the time I have with him and looking forward to be with him again. Dy, I may not be there again to the celebrate this coming Father's Day with you but my prayer and love will always be with you forever.

To all fathers and soon to be fathers…Your children are the most precious gift you received from God. Love them, nurture them, remind them always how special they are and most especially love their mothers. Spend quality time with them while there are young because those memories will be carried over in their entire life. And to all sons and daughters…love your father wholeheartedly for they are send by our Heavenly Father for us to experienced the loved He has for us through our earthly father. Time is essential. Do not waste any single second without him in your life.

I'm really blessed to have Dy as my earthly father and as the same time having GOD as my Heavenly Father.

Hope you have both too… To God be the glory

Proverb 23:24 – The father of a righteous man has great joy; he who has a wise son delights in him.

Relax!

Dont be anxious

In connection with my previous blog yesterday, I shared about one verse in the bible that keeps on reminding me not to worry for almost 2 days and it is found in Matthew 6:34 - Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

I know God in His small still voice telling me that I should not be worry for tomorrow. That everything that is happening now is in His control and yet still I didn't listened. When I'm on my way home yesterday my worries still lingers in my mind, I'm losing my focus I'm down and my emotions are controlling me that time. Though I keeps on praying asking for God's wisdom then still I have a heavy heart. Then when I'm just near in my home, I saw an Indian boy fell off from his bicycle I stopped and encourage him to get up and stand. Un noticeably God is already relying His message to me with that incident its just simple I need to get up and stand firm with my faith. Then I continue walking as I look back at the boy I noticed this small paper at first I ignore it thinking that its just a garbage...but suddenly I heard a voice telling me to pick it up so I turn back and get the small paper..as I check it guess what I found...another verse in the bible and this time it is in Phils. 4: 6 - Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving present your requests to God. God is really working in me. With these 2 verses I can say that God is in control of everything and HE only need us to trust Him fully and surrender everything to Him.. Why worry? Our Father is a King and in just wink of an eye He can provide everything we need...just ask Him...To God be the glory....

Reminderr

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. - Matthew 6:34 - NIV

this verse keeps reminding me since yesterday that God is in control of everything ...why we should worry for tomorrow? when we all know that God is holding our daily life with His two hands. Thank you LORD for reminding me again that I am safe in your hands and nothing can harm me as long as I am with you not even my worries will hinder me from serving you.

Tell Everyone!

The free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23, NLT).

Dear Friends,

A young woman stood before a judge. She was guilty of breaking the law and the judge had to sentence her. The penalty was so stiff, however, that there was no way she could ever pay it. Sobbing in repentance, the young woman begged for mercy. The judge knew that her cry for forgiveness was sincere, and he knew she could not pay. So in an unprecedented act, he removed his robe, stepped down from the bench, walked up to the bailiff and paid her fine. The judgment against her was fair. She deserved to be punished, but there was one thing different about this case: The judge was also her father. He loved her so much that he paid the fine for her. This tender act of a father for his child illustrates the love and forgiveness shown by God to each of us. As we stand before the great Judge of the Universe, we are all guilty (Romans 3:23). We deserve any punishment that we may get, which is, spiritually, the death sentence (Romans 6:23). By God's own standards, we deserve capital punishment. But this great and righteous Judge is also our heavenly Father, who is rich in mercy. (Ephesians 2:4). So, in effect, the Father's only begotten Son steps up and says, "I will pay their fine for them," offering to take our punishment upon Himself. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it" (John 3:16-17, NLT). This act of love and substitution is the most amazing and wonderful act in all the universe and in all of history. The gift of divine forgiveness and salvation are the greatest gifts in the universe. The "good news" about this grace, or unmerited favor, is the greatest message in the universe. It is a free gift. Even though the wages of sin is death, "the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23, NLT). We appropriate this great, free gift when we receive Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as our Savior and Lord. I am burdened by the many who have not yet heard this good news. That is why "everywhere we go, we tell everyone about Christ." (Colossians 1:28, NLT). Yours for helping to fulfill the Great Commission each year until our Lord returns, Bill Bright

The Most Precious Answer of All

It’s difficult to do but waiting has benefits far
beyond we can perceive at the present moment

Waiting is probably one of the most difficult things for
a single person to do. I know. I waited for many, many
years before I met “the One.” I knew that the Lord had
someone in store for me because I believed I was called to
the married life. But it was the waiting that was killing me!
When the pain of loneliness would strike, I’d turn to the Lord and
sometimes pray, “I know You can do it. In a blink of an eye, You could
send that man for me. So why don’t You just do it?”
The Lord would often answer me with silence. Maybe because He
knew that I knew the answer to my own question anyway.
Yes, God has a purpose for making us wait that many times we
don’t see. In my case, I now realize that the many years I spent as a
single woman wanting to be a bride has equipped me to be a coach to
countless others on their “wait training.”
Just the other day, a single woman emailed me. She read my book
and was greatly encouraged. But her birthday was coming soon and,
somehow, her body clock seemed to tick louder than usual. She wrote,
“In my lack of perfect faith, I am ashamed that I still worry about
getting old and not being able to find the man of my dreams.” Oh, that
could have been my theme song when I was in her shoes years ago.
So to women like her, and to all of us who, at one time or another,
have to wait for an answer to a prayer, I share a poem entitled, “Wait.”
Its author is unknown but it was originally intended for a woman
waiting to have a child of her own.

Desperately, helplessly, longingly, I cried.
Quietly, patiently, lovingly, He replied.
I pled and wept for a clue to my fate.
The master said gently, “Child, you must wait.”
“WAIT!” you say, “Wait?” my indignant reply.
“Lord, I need answers, I need to know why!
Is Your hand shortened, or have You not heard?
By faith I have asked and I’m claiming Your Word!
My future and all to which I relate,
Hangs in the balance and you tell me, ‘Wait’?
I am needing a ‘Yes’ or a ‘Go ahead’ sign
Or even a ‘No’ to which I could resign.
And Lord, You have promised that if we believe
We need but to ask and we shall receive.
And Lord, I’ve been asking, and this is my cry,
I am weary of asking, I need a reply!”
And quietly, softly, I learned of my fate.
As the Master replied once again, “You must wait.”
He seemed then to kneel and His eyes met with mine.
And tenderly He said, “I could give you a sign…
I could shake the heavens and darken the sun.
I could raise the dead and cause the mountain to run.
All you seek I could give and pleased you would be.
You would have what you want but you wouldn’t know
Me.
You’d not know the depth of My love for each saint,
You’d not know the power I give to the faint,
You’d not learn to see through the clouds of despair,
You’d not learn to trust just by knowing I’m there.
You’d not know the joy of just resting in Me
When darkness and silence is all you can see.
You’d never experience that fullness of love
As the peace of My spirit descends like a dove.
You’d know that I give and save for a start
But you’d not know the depth and beat of my heart.
The glow of My comfort late in the night,
The faith that I give when you walk without sight,
The depth that’s beyond getting just what you ask,
An infinite God who makes what you have last.
And you never would know should your pain quickly flee
What it means that My grace is sufficient for thee!
Yes, your dreams for that loved one
O’er night would come true.
But the loss, if you lost what I’m doing in you.
So be silent, My child, and in time you will see
That the greatest of gifts is to get to know Me.
And how often may My answers seem terribly late
My most precious answer of all is still, “WAIT!

Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God
chooses. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

Forgiven?

Have you ever done something in your life that you regret now, and you
wish that it had never happened and that you could start all over again?
I know I have, and not only once, but a few times. It must be
devastating for people to live their lives with the guilt that comes
from believing that they *can’t* be forgiven, and to keep on living in
that lie.

Jeffrey Dahmer, who was indicted on fifteen murder charges, near the
end, ultimately declared himself a born-again Christian. This conversion
occurred after Jeffrey read some evangelical material that his father
sent him, and a Christian minister visited him in prison and studied the
Bible with him. Jeffrey was later immersed in water for the remission of
his sins. He believed that God had forgiven him.

1 Corinthians 6:9a,11 – Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall
not inherit the kingdom of God ? Such were some of you. But you were
washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of
the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. (NASB)

In our eyes, some sins and mistakes, like murder, seem unforgivable. But
in God’s eyes, any mistakes that His children make have already been
forgiven by His Son’s death on a cross. Jesus’ resurrection brings us a
second chance at a new, forgiven life! No one is beyond Christ’s
forgiveness.

Colossians 2:13-14 – And when you were dead in your transgressions
and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with
Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having cancelled out the
certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us and which was
hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to
the cross. (NASB)

So, in the same way that God has forgiven us, we must also forgive each
other.

Ephesians 4:32 – And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving
each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. (NASB)

Prayer: Father in heaven, we give You thanks that You have sacrificed
Your Son, Jesus, so that we can live as a forgiven people and start all
over again. Amen.

Remove it Quickly

The other day, I pulled out some stain remover to clean a little spot on our carpet. I noticed that on the bottle the directions read, "Get to the spot as quickly as possible, hopefully while it's still wet." Why? Because the longer it stays there, the more difficult it is to remove. Do you know that it's the same way with us? When anger, bitterness or offense comes, it's like a stain on your mind. If you allow it to set hour after hour, day after day, it's going to get harder and harder to remove. It's so much easier to forgive right when the incident happens. And it doesn't matter what the other person does, you can choose to forgive and give your mind a clean slate. In Ephesians six, the Bible talks about how we should put on the armor of God. One of the most important pieces is the shoes of peace. In the same way that shoes protect our feet, peace protects our spiritual walk. But I've found that too many people are going around spiritually ba refooted. They're always upset and bent out of shape about something—they get offended at the neighbor because they weren't invited to play in little league, offended at the department store because they wouldn't take something back, offended at their spouse because he left in such a hurry. What's the problem? They're not putting on their shoes of peace. Today, make the decision that no matter what comes against you, you're not going to get upset. You're not going to get offended. You're going to stay in peace. Have the attitude, "If somebody ignores me, that's alright. They're pro ba bly just having a ba d day. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and move on. Somebody is rude to me? No big deal. I'm an eagle; I can rise above it." Remember, God is your vindicator, and when you remove offense quickly so you can walk in peace, you are allowing Him to fight your battles and lead you into victory all the days of your life!

A DAY WITH THE AETAS
