4 PENCILS

Last Friday I was assigned to deliver God's message during our Junior Worship service and God used 4 kids of pencils to remind us that we are not perfect, we all have impurities but the good thing is that He cleanse us with own blood, for us to be our again and we don't need to do anything but to just ask for His forgiveness and He is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness that is what written in I John 1:8-9 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

I just want to share with you a bit of the message and I pray that as you read every line and every word you may  be blessed as well  as I had been blessed and reminded with this message.

Here in UAE, school starts soon. There's only few days for the parents to get ready. They need to get some new school clothes or some new shoes and of course they have to buy school supplies  for their children and one of in their main list  is  a pencil.....

Pencils...it remind me of the four different kinds of people we see and meet each day or maybe we are this kind of person too.

First, a pencil that is not sharpened on either end. It reminds me of people I see that never do anything. They just want to just sit down, sleep and do nothing at all. They just sit around and let others do all the work. A pencil that isn't sharpened on either end isn't much good for anything. Neither is a person who never does anything.

Second, a pencil that has an eraser on both ends. Do you think why both ends has eraser? Because this pencil reminds me of people who never do anything right. That’s the purpose why both ends has eraser so that they can erased and erased as long as they want the wrong things that they done. Or maybe they are so afraid that they won't do it right, they are like the first pencil and just don't do anything at all.

Next, a pencil that is sharpened on both ends. It doesn't have an eraser! This pencil reminds me of people who think they never make a mistake! Do you know people like that? Those are the people who think they are better than God, they think they are perfect, but we know the fact that nobody is perfect. Even if they do make a mistake, which we all do, they will never admit it. They are too proud to admit that they sometimes do wrong as well. You cannot correct them. Who do they think they are fooling? They are only fooling themselves!

Finally, a pencil that is sharpened on one end and has an eraser on the other. It reminds me of people
who know they make mistakes, and when they see their mistakes, they correct them. That is the kind of person God wants us to be. I am not perfect I always commit mistakes and so you are. All of us are not perfect. The Bible tells us that if we claim that we never make mistakes, we are just fooling ourselves. But if we will admit to our mistakes and ask God to forgive us, He will definitely erase our mistakes and we can start all over again. It is easy to ask forgiveness than to live in a lie that you never do mistakes. Admitting one’s mistake doesn't mean that we are a loser or we are weak but admitting it and saying sorry to God and to people who done us wrong is a way of showing them that we are strong and more than a conqueror, we are victorious because we never let foolishness and proud ruled over our life. But remember that it doesn't mean that we can do the same mistakes again and again. It’s not like that, once God removed or erased all the wrong things we done its means we are clean, we have to live a new life again and a clean life doesn't have a even a slight blemishes of your old life.

LIFE WITHOUT GOD IS LIKE AN UNSHARPENED PENCIL THAT HAS NO POINT
