GRUMBLING WILL GET YOU NOWHERE…

As we about to end our Friday school lesson for this month about complaining and
grumbling,  I make it to the point that the kids understand our lesson well.  Didn't I realize am the one who doesn't fully understand the truly meaning of it.  It struck me down into realization that me too was complaining too much about everything that is happening around me.  Instead of seeing the good in every situation I find nothing but the other and awful side of it.  These past few weeks I’d been complaining  almost  every day, specially about the way one of my colleague performs at work, never  did I realized I was in the same shoes like her before. A room for improvement doesn't not come into my mind.  Nor her ability to prove herself but I focused to every single details of her mistakes.  I didn’t trust her ability to do more and even better.

It is same with the Israelites before when they were in the wilderness, instead of praising and thanking God from delivering them from slavery, they complained for not having food to eat and sweet water to drink.  Didn't they realize that the God who leads them out of Egypt is the same God who will be with them through out their journey in the wilderness to the Promised Land? It is same with our situation right now; complaining is part of our life and for some I   think it is their way of life.  We complained when it’s hot and even when it’s cold. If we are plenty and when we are in need.  As Paul said in Philippians 4: 12 – I know what is to live in need and I know what is to have plenty.  I have learned the secret of being content in any situation.  Whether well fed or hungry, whether being in plenty or in want.

Grumbling is easy for most us to do.  We live in a world of “instant gratification” , we often complain when things go wrong and aren't immediately made right.  Grumbling or complaining really doesn't help.  It will get us nowhere.  But instead we should learn to turn to God and trust Him always for He is the one truly cares for us.

Dear God, sometimes it  is easy to complain, we focus on what we don’t have or like instead of talking with you about our need, Lord help us to remember that we don’t need to crumble because you know our needs and gives us what we need as well as many gifts.  In Jesus Name.. Amen.

“ Those who are wayward in spirit will gain understanding, those who complain will accept instruction. Isaiah 29:24”.
